Here's a healthy way to start the new year - make a smoothie!
Ever since I got my immersion blender, I have been obsessed with making smoothies. I call this concoction the Kitchen Sink Smoothie because I practially add every fresh produce I could find in my fridge. You have to have a healthy breakfast in the morning - it's so important - but sometimes I just don't have the time to eat. When I'm really busy, the idea of sitting down to chew something drives me insane - especially when I just need to jump into a creative project. So I serve myself a liquid breakfast instead!
It's a great way to get all of your healthy essentials out of the way. Chomping away at salad makes me feel like a miserable rabbit. When I drink this smoothie, I don't feel so guilty if I forget to eat my greens later on in the day. Plus this drink is the PERFECT CURE FOR A HANGOVER! That's because I've added coconut water and other key ingredients to help you recover after a long night of partying.
Check out my recipe for Kitchen Sink Smoothie below. If you have a similar concotion - please share, I'm always opened to new and different ways to get me going in the morning!

Hope everyone is having a happy new year so far. Boy am I happy to see 2012 go - good riddance! I always do better in odd number years and since it's 2013, I have a feeling that I will have a very lucky year!
I'm not a big fan of resolutions. Resolutions put too much pressure on myself to be the kind of person that I'm not. And around February, when I've broken most of my resolutions, I feel like a complete loser. Why set yourself up for failure? I think this is why I love bucket lists. They encourage you to live in the moment and to help manifest what it is your really want out of your life. Here are some of the things I would like to accomplish in 2013....

Today I'm shining the spotlight on the fellow bloggers and designers who have helped support Happy Pretty Things over the past few months. Each lady is bright, beautiful and unique in their own right. I am so happy that I've had the opportunity to get to know them a little better. I do hope that you take the time to become well acquainted with these wonderful women.

Erica is one of the sweetest bloggers I know who not only is very talented, but extremely down to earth. Let's all get caught on a whim of inspiration as we get to know Erica a little bit better.
