One might say that Christmas at Bryant Park is like the red-headed stepchild of Christmas at Rockefellar Center. Actually, no one would really compare city attractions to red-headed children (who in their own right, are actually very cute.) But while everyone and their mother, brother, and accoutant are cramming themselves at 30 Rock to "Say the 'Tray," I prefer to saunter through the holiday festivities of Bryant Park.
The holidays at Bryant Park are extremely underrated. I would even go as far to say it's the best kept secret if it weren't smacked right in the middle of Midtown - but in many ways, it really is! For starters there's FREE ice skating! And FREE CIDER! And holiday shops galore! And SPACE! Yes! You can have the quintessential Christmas-in-New-York-City experience and not have to feel like a packed sardine!
The other day I found myself strolling through Bryant Park on my way to the subway and I thought to myself, "you know, I really don't appreciate this place enough!" I'm looking forward to coming back when my family is in town - in the meantime, I hope you enjoy these delightful moments I caught a long the way...
There are even boutiques featuring local artists such as Eff.Y.Bee (above)
and Brooklyn Made (below.)
Alice Rose also sells an assortment of lovely handmade local items such as SKT and Maptote.
And did I mention that ice skating at Citi Pond is FREE?
Yeah I did! I also forgot to mention that the rink is huge!
Space in New York - so rare and always a good thing!
Christmas in New York is so tempting!

I would definitely like to hang out at Bryant Park, and I would take so many photos! I also see some totes that I might have a hard time not buying! -Jess L
